It has been a boring test for both the Indians and West Indies at Trinidad waiting for the rain to stop, outfield to get dried and play to be possible right from the first day post lunch of the match. With only one session of play in the test match as a result of pouring rain and ever wet outfield, the match has been resulted in draw and India won the test series 2-0. Currently no.1 ranked all-rounder & no.2 bowler in test matches, Ravichandran Ashwin was handed over the man of the series, this being his sixth overall in test matches.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the West Indies posted a score of 62 runs for the loss of two wickets in the 1st session on Day 1 of the 4th test match before it started to rain. Everybody was in a hope of starting the match anytime but rain and wet outfield played spoil sport not allowing even one ball to be bowled in spite of bright sunshine and many effort from the ground staff to make play possbile. Finally, the match ended in a draw, disappointing all the fans of both the countries and the outcome brought advantage to Pakistan as they move ahead of India to occupy the no.1 test rank for the first time.
