Australia Cricket Signs Broadcast Deal

Australia Cricket has taken a big step to revolutionise TV cricket for the viewers. The new cricket coverage is being promised for the Australian viewers. The CEO of Foxtel’s has promised the viewers that he will revolutionise TV cricket. The seven networks and Foxtel’s have a secured Australian cricket media rights. Right after service of 40 years of service, the channel Nine has lost the broadcast rights for Australia’s cricket. The channel is having a deal for International matches and Big Bash league. The Australia Cricket has been a big reason for this change. The Australian Cricket has announced that they have collaborated with the Foxtel’s and Seven West media. This time Australian cricket association has ended the relation with Network Ten and Nine entertainments for sports. The End of an era has been witnessed by this statement. The association of Australian cricket has announced the $1 billion plus broadcast deal.

Now only the Foxtel and Seven Networks have the legal rights for Australian cricket and media. There are also statements by reporters that the media rights are about $1.182 billion. The sources say that this deal between the media and the team is only just for a brighter future. The Foxtel Network will have the rights of broadcast every ball bowled along the simulcasting matches which will be free to air. The Seven Network has the rights to broadcast the home test matches. Also the seven networks will take charge of some Big bash t20 matches. Well, this collaboration sounds quite worth the deal.

Even if the Australian cricket association has ended the relation with Network Ten and Nine entertainments, they have shown the sincere thanks fullness to both the Channel associations. In a statement they said that –“Our sincere thanks to Network ten for their role in taking the Big bash League to a new level. Thank You for providing a platform to launch and grow the Women’s Big Bash League.” The cricket association has also shared the statement that –“ Our thanks go to Channel Nine, who for more than 40 years has broadcast international cricket at a world-renowned standard, and in so doing has done more to promote our sport than any organisation in Australian cricket history.”

The BBL was a phenomenal success story, during the start-up League. During these 40 years nine team has given a lots of contribution to the media and sports. In last five years the ten team has also done an extra-ordinary contribution to the series and matches. The media support has been very good and the growths of new fans are also because of the team effort.

The contract has been not yet signed between the Australian cricket team and Seven team. The association member has been shared the news with our team member. The Seven Network has stated that- “Contracts are being finalised but are not yet signed. A full announcement will be made on signing this afternoon.”

The bid was successful with Foxtel team said the Australian cricket. They stated that- “We will treat the game with the respect it deserves while reinvigorating it across every form even west Media”
